Process

Concept Art

For the ‘Mamá Lucha’ project by Bodega Aurrera, I designed characters with creative freedom using Procreate, based on the brand’s graphic line.

Modeling

I used ZBrush and Maya as the main tool for modeling, focusing on simple shapes to align with the project’s graphic style. For the hair, I added life by using individual strands and had the opportunity to play with the proportions, slightly exaggerating them.

Clothing

I used Marvelous Designer to create the clothing, achieving a realistic look that fits each body. I also took advantage of its retopology system to ensure that the textures aligned perfectly with the tiles.

Wireframe / uvs

I created the retopology in Maya, using a base body I did and just adjusting the facial topology. For the UVs, I utilized UDIMs.
